Acer Liquid E1 Overall Review

The Acer Liquid E1, announced in January 2013, is a mid-range Android smartphone that sought to balance performance with affordability. It sports a 4.5-inch display, offering a satisfactory visual experience with its resolution. Under the hood, the Liquid E1 is powered by a MediaTek MT6577 chipset, coupled with 1 GB of RAM, which was respectable for a mid-range device at the time of its launch.

Photography needs are met with a 5 MP primary camera, enabling users to capture everyday moments. Although not groundbreaking, the camera quality is adequate for social media sharing and personal archives. The phone also includes a modest 4 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card, allowing users to store their favorite content without too much worry.

Battery life is supported by a 1760 mAh battery, which, by today’s standards, may seem limited but was in line with the phone’s specifications and usage patterns of the time. The Liquid E1 runs on Android, offering access to a wide array of apps and services available on the Google Play Store.

Acer Liquid E1 Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Compact and comfortable design, making it easy to hold and operate.
  • Decent display size and quality for its time, suitable for browsing and media consumption.
  • Expandable storage via microSD card, offering flexibility for additional space.
  • Dual SIM support, accommodating users who require multiple phone numbers.

Cons:

  • Limited internal storage capacity might be insufficient for app-heavy users.
  • The camera’s performance is modest, especially in low-light conditions.
  • Battery life may not meet the demands of heavy usage, requiring frequent charging.
  • Lacks the processing power for high-intensity tasks and modern, demanding apps.
