Eten M550 Overview
The Eten M550, released in April 2006, is a mobile device that operates on the GSM network. It is designed with a mini-SIM slot and features a 2.8-inch TFT resistive touchscreen display, offering a resolution of 240×320 pixels. This device runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC, powered by a Samsung 2440 400 MHz CPU, and does not support WLAN or GPS functionalities.
Weighing approximately 165 grams with dimensions of 112 x 61 x 22 mm, the Eten M550 was designed to be both compact and robust. It includes 64 MB of RAM and 128 MB of ROM, with an SD/SDIO card slot available for memory expansion. The primary camera is a modest 1.3 MP with an LED flash, although there is no secondary camera available for selfies or video calls.
Audio output is facilitated through a loudspeaker, with vibration and downloadable polyphonic, MP3 ringtones available for alerts. However, it lacks a 3.5mm audio jack, limiting wired headphone connectivity. For physical connectivity, the device uses a proprietary USB port.
Battery life is managed by a removable Li-Ion 1440 mAh battery, offering up to 200 hours of standby time and up to 4 hours of talk time. The device is available in white color and was priced around 220 EUR at its release. It’s important to note that the Eten M550 does not support newer network technologies like 3G or 4G, limiting its internet capabilities to GPRS Class 10.
