Gigabyte GSmart Arty A3 Overall Review

Launched in July 2014, the Gigabyte GSmart Arty A3 was introduced as a budget-friendly smartphone that aimed to deliver decent performance and features to a cost-conscious audience. With a 5.0-inch display, the device offers a comfortable screen size for viewing and interacting with content, which, at its time, balanced well between too large and too compact.

Powered by the MediaTek MT6582 chipset and a quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 CPU, the Arty A3 was designed to handle everyday tasks with ease. Coupled with 1GB of RAM, it provided a satisfactory user experience for browsing, social media, and basic app usage, though it might struggle with more demanding applications.

Photography on the Arty A3 is managed by an 8 MP primary camera and a 2 MP front camera, catering to the basic photography and video calling needs of users. While not groundbreaking, these specs were sufficient for capturing moments in decent clarity.

One of the device’s limitations is its internal storage, offering only 4 GB, which could be expanded via a microSD card. This was somewhat offset by the inclusion of a microSD card slot, allowing users to increase their storage capacity for photos, videos, and apps.

The Gigabyte GSmart Arty A3 ran Android 4.4 KitKat, providing users with a wide range of features and access to a vast app ecosystem. It was powered by a 2000 mAh battery, which was typical for smartphones of its era, offering enough power to get through a day under moderate use.
