Amazon Fire HD 6 Overall Review

Launched in September 2014, the Amazon Fire HD 6 set out to offer a compact, budget-friendly tablet solution without compromising on Amazon’s quality and user experience. This 6-inch tablet was designed to be highly portable while providing users with access to a wide range of content, including books, movies, TV shows, and the web, all through Amazon’s ecosystem.

Featuring a 6.0″ display, the Fire HD 6 provided a balance between readability and portability. The screen’s resolution was aimed at delivering crisp and clear visuals for an enjoyable viewing and reading experience. Underneath, the tablet was powered by a quad-core processor, coupled with 1 GB of RAM, which was sufficient for smooth navigation through Fire OS and basic multitasking.

With options for 8 GB or 16 GB of internal storage, the Fire HD 6 catered to moderate content consumption needs. However, the absence of a microSD slot meant that users had to manage their storage space wisely or rely on cloud services for additional storage.

Photography was not a primary focus, with the tablet sporting a modest 2 MP primary camera and a VGA front-facing camera, indicating its primary role as a media consumption device rather than a tool for capturing high-quality images.

Amazon Fire HD 6 Pros and Cons
