Network: The Telit T650 operates on GSM technology, providing 2G bands for reliable communication on GSM 900 and 1800 frequencies. It supports GPRS Class 10 for enhanced data transmission.
Launch: Announced in Q1 2006 but later cancelled, the Telit T650 was intended to be a versatile mobile phone with innovative features.
Body and Display: With dimensions of 90 x 44 x 17 mm and weighing 90 g, the Telit T650 is compact and lightweight. It features a TFT main display with 256K colors and a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. Additionally, it includes a second CSTN display with 65K colors and a resolution of 96 x 96 pixels.
Memory and Camera: The Telit T650 comes with a microSD card slot for expandable storage and has an internal memory of 64MB. It can store up to 500 entries in the phonebook with Photocall feature and records 10 received, dialed, and missed calls. The main camera is VGA with a rotating lens and LED flash, while there is no selfie camera.
Sound and Features: Equipped with vibration and downloadable polyphonic ringtones, the Telit T650 doesn’t have a loudspeaker or a 3.5mm jack. It features SMS, EMS, and MMS messaging, WAP 2.0 browser, and supports Java applications. Other features include an MP3 player, predictive text input, and various organizer functions.
Battery and Miscellaneous: The Telit T650 is powered by a removable Li-Ion 800 mAh battery. It doesn’t support Wi-Fi or Bluetooth but has an infrared port for data transfer. The phone is available in black color, offering a sleek and stylish design for its time. Despite its cancellation, the Telit T650 showcased Telit’s commitment to innovation in the mobile phone industry.
